This Refund & Cancellation Policy ("Policy") sets out the terms governing cancellations, withdrawals, refunds and related matters concerning educational programmes, workshops, live courses and other services offered by ACADEMY ZERONINE LEARNING LLP ("academy.zeronine").
This Policy forms an integral part of the academy.zeronine Terms & Conditions and should be read together with the Payment Policy and Privacy Policy. By enrolling in any Course or making any payment to academy.zeronine, the learner acknowledges that they have read, understood and agreed to this Policy.
The purpose of this Policy is to establish a transparent and fair framework for:
cancellation of enrolments;
refund eligibility;
non-refundable payments;
rescheduling requests;
transfers to future batches;
processing timelines;
exceptional circumstances;
cancellation by Academy.zeronine.
This Policy seeks to balance the interests of learners while recognising that academy.zeronine incurs administrative, faculty, scheduling and operational commitments upon confirmation of enrolment.
This Policy applies to payments made for:
Live Online Courses;
Workshops;
Certification Programmes;
Masterclasses;
Professional Development Courses;
Corporate Training Programmes (unless governed by a separate written agreement);
Other educational services expressly covered by this Policy.
For the purposes of this Policy:
4.1 Course: Means any educational programme conducted by academy.zeronine.
4.2 Learner: Means any individual enrolled in a Course offered by academy.zeronine.
4.3 Course Confirmation Fee: Means the advance booking amount or down payment collected by academy.zeronine to reserve a learner's seat in a Course.
4.4 Course Fee: Means the total fee payable for participation in a Course.
4.5 Cancellation: Means the voluntary decision of a learner to withdraw from a Course before or after commencement.
4.6 Refund: Means repayment of eligible amounts by academy.zeronine in accordance with this Policy.
academy.zeronine plans faculty schedules, learning resources, classroom capacity and operational arrangements based upon confirmed enrolments. Accordingly, not every cancellation shall qualify for a refund.
Refunds are available only in the circumstances expressly described in this Policy or where otherwise required under applicable law. No employee, counsellor, instructor or representative of academy.zeronine is authorised to promise refunds inconsistent with this Policy unless approved in writing by an authorised representative of academy.zeronine.
Certain Courses require payment of a Course Confirmation Fee (also referred to as a Down Payment or Booking Amount). The Course Confirmation Fee serves to reserve a seat in the selected Course and enables academy.zeronine to undertake operational and academic planning.
The Course Confirmation Fee is non-refundable. The only exception shall be where:
academy.zeronine cancels the Course; and
the learner does not accept an alternative batch or equivalent programme offered by academy.zeronine.
In such circumstances, academy.zeronine may refund the Course Confirmation Fee.
A learner shall ordinarily be eligible to request a refund of eligible payments only where all of the following conditions are satisfied:
the request is submitted in writing to Academy.zeronine;
the request is received at least seven (7) calendar days before the scheduled commencement date of the Course;
the learner has complied with all enrolment obligations;
the payment has been successfully received by academy.zeronine;
the refund request complies with this Policy.
Requests received after the applicable deadline shall ordinarily not qualify for a refund unless academy.zeronine expressly approves an exception or applicable law requires otherwise.
Where a refund request satisfies the eligibility criteria under Clause 7:
the Course Confirmation Fee shall remain non-refundable;
the balance Course Fee paid by the learner may be refunded, subject to any deductions permitted under this Policy or applicable law.
Refunds shall not include bank charges, foreign exchange losses, payment gateway fees (where non-recoverable), or charges imposed by financial institutions.
A learner wishing to cancel enrolment must notify academy.zeronine in writing through the official support email or any other communication channel designated by academy.zeronine.
The cancellation request should include: learner name, registered email address, registered mobile number, Course name, payment reference number, and reason for cancellation (optional but appreciated).
Cancellation shall be deemed effective only upon written acknowledgement by academy.zeronine. Verbal requests, social media messages or informal communications shall not constitute valid cancellation requests.
Once the Course has commenced, refunds shall ordinarily not be available. This applies irrespective of whether the learner attends all sessions, attends only some sessions, does not attend any sessions, is unable to continue due to personal commitments, changes employment, relocates, experiences scheduling conflicts, or decides the Course no longer meets personal expectations.
Access to Course materials or participation in any live session may be considered commencement of the Course for the purposes of this Policy.
Where a refund request is approved:
refunds shall ordinarily be processed within thirty (30) days from the date of approval;
refunds shall generally be issued through the original mode of payment;
where the original payment method is unavailable, Academy.zeronine may request alternate payment details or use another lawful method.
Processing timelines may vary depending upon banking systems, payment gateways or regulatory requirements.
Refunds shall ordinarily not be granted in situations including, but not limited to: failure to attend scheduled sessions, change of mind after enrolment, dissatisfaction after Course commencement, inability to complete assignments, relocation, employment obligations, travel plans, technical issues arising from the learner's equipment or internet connection, disciplinary suspension or termination for breach of academy.zeronine policies, or failure to satisfy Course requirements.
academy.zeronine reserves the right to cancel any Course, workshop, certification programme, masterclass or educational event where it becomes impractical or impossible to conduct the programme as originally scheduled.
Circumstances may include: insufficient enrolments, instructor illness or unavailability, technical failures, venue-related issues, government directives, regulatory requirements, force majeure events, security concerns, or operational reasons.
13.1 Options Available to Learners
Where academy.zeronine cancels a Course before its commencement, learners may be offered one or more of the following options:
transfer to the next available batch of the same Course;
transfer to another equivalent Course;
issuance of a credit note for future enrolment;
refund of eligible amounts paid.
Where a full refund is offered because Academy.zeronine cancels the Course and no suitable alternative is accepted by the learner, the refund shall ordinarily include the Course Confirmation Fee.
academy.zeronine may reschedule the commencement date, class timings, faculty, delivery platform or sequence of sessions due to operational or academic requirements. A rescheduled Course shall not ordinarily be treated as a cancelled Course.
Learners unable to attend the revised schedule may contact Academy.zeronine to discuss available alternatives, which may include transfer to another batch, credit towards a future programme, or other options determined on a case-by-case basis.
Subject to seat availability and operational feasibility, academy.zeronine may permit a learner to transfer to a subsequent batch of the same Course. Such requests should ordinarily be made before the Course commences. Approval of a transfer request shall remain at the sole discretion of academy.zeronine and may be subject to administrative conditions or fees. Repeated transfer requests may be declined.
Requests to transfer from one Course to another shall be considered on a case-by-case basis. Factors considered include similarity of Course content, difference in Course Fees, availability of seats, commencement dates, and academic suitability.
Where the replacement Course carries a higher fee, the learner shall pay the difference before enrolment is confirmed. Where the replacement Course carries a lower fee, academy.zeronine may, at its discretion, adjust the balance as a credit for future use rather than issuing a cash refund.
A learner's inability to attend sessions due to illness, travel, employment, family obligations, examinations, technical issues, or emergencies shall not automatically entitle the learner to a refund, a repeat session, private coaching, or extension of Course duration. academy.zeronine may provide access to available reference materials or recordings, but is under no obligation to recreate missed learning experiences.
Refunds relating to employer-sponsored or corporate training programmes shall be governed primarily by the written agreement entered into between Academy.zeronine and the sponsoring organisation. Where no separate agreement exists, this Policy shall apply.
Where a learner has enrolled under scholarship programmes, discounted pricing, promotional campaigns, referral offers, alumni concessions, or corporate discounts, refunds shall be calculated based on the actual amount paid by the learner and not on the standard Course Fee. Scholarship benefits or concessions are personal to the learner and shall not be redeemable for cash.
Refunds approved by academy.zeronine may be subject to deductions for non-recoverable payment gateway charges, bank transaction charges, foreign exchange conversion losses, and other charges imposed by financial institutions, where permitted by applicable law and communicated to the learner.
No refund shall be payable where academy.zeronine reasonably determines that the payment or enrolment was obtained through fraud, identity theft, stolen payment instruments, unauthorised transactions, forged documentation, or deliberate misrepresentation. academy.zeronine reserves the right to report suspected fraudulent activity to appropriate authorities.
Learners suspended or removed from a Course for violating the Terms & Conditions, Code of Conduct or other academy.zeronine policies shall not ordinarily be entitled to any refund. This includes harassment, academic misconduct, unauthorised sharing of Course content, copyright infringement, abusive behaviour, or misuse of the Platform.
academy.zeronine shall not be liable for delay, cancellation or modification of Courses arising from events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, civil disturbances, strikes, internet outages, power failures, cyber incidents, or acts of war/terrorism.
If a learner disagrees with a refund decision, they may submit a written representation to academy.zeronine containing learner details, Course details, transaction reference, grounds for the request, and supporting documentation. academy.zeronine shall review the matter in good faith and communicate its decision within a reasonable period.
academy.zeronine reserves the right to revise this Refund & Cancellation Policy to reflect changes in business operations, legal requirements, educational practices, technology, or payment processes. Revised versions shall become effective upon publication on the website. The version in force at the time of enrolment shall ordinarily govern the learner's refund rights.
This Policy shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India.
Subject to applicable law, all disputes arising from or relating to this Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra.
